Chapter 22: The Firewall Stand

The final push for the portal becomes a desperate stand against the remnants of the shadow army. As the portal begins to pulse with the destabilising energy of the crossing, Myrine manifests a towering wall of white-hot phosphorous flame. This “Firewall” is her ultimate act of defiance, a barrier of pure justice that holds back the tide of shadow-guards. She pours every ounce of her remaining strength and supernatural powers into the flames. She is the anchor, the only thing keeping the bridge open long enough for the resistance to escape, proving once and for all that a Sentinel’s duty is to the many, not the self.
